Justin Footit


After retiring from amateur boxing in 1997, Justin traveled to Japan where he made an immediate connection with world renowned Cuban trainer Ismael Salas.

Salas, widely regarded as the greatest technical trainers, guided Cuban boxers like the legendry Felix Savon and Joel Casamayoras well as 7 Professional World Champions.

He recently trained WBA Light Heavyweight Champion Danny Green.

Under Salas, Justin spent most of the early decade working in Japan and Thailand, with fighters like former WBA Flyweight champion and WBA Fighter of the Year San Sor Plonchit, WBA Light Flyweight Champion Pitchit Noi, as well as numerous other world ranked and regional champions.

In 2004 Justin returned to Japan and commenced working in the World famous Osaka Teiken Gym working with some of Japans best boxers including the legendry 3 time WBC Bantam weight champion Joichiro Tatsuoshi and a host of other ranked boxers as well as the famous Boxing Super Kid (Tatsuya Ikemizu).

Upon returning to Australia in 2006 with a wealth of knowledge gained from all over the globe including the USA, Cuba, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia and Europe, Justin has trained and assisted with some of Australia’s best known boxers.
